Our client is a provider of I.T services to local business; their services include IT consultancy, Hardware and software specification and supply, custom desktop application development, web site and web application development.
The project
Our client is looking to take on a graduate within their Lincolnshire office for an initial eight week placement with the potential for the role to develop into a permanent position for the right candidate. A number of projects exist and the project will be matched to the applicants skill set. Examples of projects available are:
* create a Google Base module for a web-shop (VB.Net/C# & XML)
* a product upload desktop application for a custom web-shop (VB.Net/C# & SQL)
* Creating a skin for a new web portal on a content managed system (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
* Implementation of new features for order processing software already in production use (VB.Net & SQL)
* Implementation of new features for an order processing web-shop in the last stages of development (ASP.Net, JQuery, AJAX, JSON)
Skills required
You will be a recent graduate from 2008 onwards and you will have completed an information systems related degree that includes practical programming modules. Useful skills will included knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, Microsoft Technologies VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, MS-SQL, DotNetNuke, IIS), XML, JQuery, AJAX, JSON.
The successful applicant will gain experience of the full development cycle. You will be paid £840.00 every four weeks, free from Tax and National Insurance.
