The Company

This research company provides Market Research on semiconductor and related manufacturing industries. Their clients range from the financial community and the device makers through to equipment manufactures and suppliers of subsystems. The company deliver their products, which include data tables and reports, through password restricted access to their website.

The Project

This opportunity is offered for the maximum of 12 weeks.

The project is to improve the system for uploading data to the company website and enhance the customer experience.

Project Overview

• Review methods of presenting data on the company’s website.
• Review current web marketing.
• Provide a range of options for improvement.
• Implement agreed changes.
• Provide supporting documentation explaining how the system works and the procedure for updating the website.
• Develop a backup website.

Objective

To develop solutions that are simple to deliver and maintain while providing the end user with a better experience. The current system is based on generating a series of linked html files from data held in excel format. The company are interested in either optimising this system or exploring alternatives.

Qualifications

You will be a recent graduate from 2008/09 and will have graduated from a UK university with an Information Technology related degree.

Skills Required

Good Knowledge of Excel, VBA, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
