Job Description
My client: a leading Premier League football club based in Manchester. The club’s mission is to be the best team in the world on and off the pitch and here is an opportunity for you to join that team.

The project

This opportunity is offered over an initial 4 week period with the possibility for the placement to be extended by a further 8 weeks; there are placements available in more than one of their commercial teams.

This is a new and exciting role within the relationship management team. Your focus will be on working with a range of the club’s partners ensuring that the relationship is successfully managed and commercial opportunities maximised. You will work with the partners to create and implement innovative and tactical initiatives, identify new promotional opportunities and ensure that all contractual obligations are adhered to. As part of the relationship management team you will have the opportunity to grow and develop within a sponsorship and marketing environment.

Skills required

You will be a recent graduate, from 2008 onwards, and you are likely to have completed a degree course in Marketing, Media, PR or Sports Management.

You should have a strong understanding of marketing management and how marketing campaigns and technologies work together. You should have knowledge of the dynamics of sponsorship/affinity marketing preferably within the sports sector.

You will need to demonstrate a good track record in managing third party business relationships, have excellent communication skills and be able to influence, persuade and lead change effectively. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and be able to integrate themselves into a forward thinking team.

You will be paid a training allowance of £210 per week exempt from paying Tax and National Insurance.
